Genea Nichole G. Cortez, LPT, MSc.

Genea Nichole Cortez, LPT, MSc., fondly known as 'Ney,' is an early career mangrove botanist-teacher turned artist. She obtained her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Secondary Education, with a major in Biological Science at the University of Santo Tomas in 2018. At the same university, she completed her Master of Science major in Biology in 2020. Her master's thesis is focused on the Del Carmen Mangrove Reserve in Siargao Island, a new Ramsar site in the Philippines. She is teaching at the University of Santo Tomas College of Science.
