Maria Josella Pangilinan, an environmental practitioner with over 25 years of experience, is dedicated to advancing nature-based solutions to combat climate change. She has spearheaded projects to restore coastal wetlands, developed simplified methodologies for measuring blue carbon, and advised on policies to protect and expand critical ecosystems. Through her work at Conservation International Philippines, Wetlands International Philippines, and other organizations, Ms. Pangilinan has demonstrated how conserving forests, mangroves, and other coastal habitats can enhance community resilience to climate impacts. She remains committed to building partnerships and implementing initiatives that harness the power of nature to create a more sustainable future.
